Privacy Policy

JAEKA is an AI-native social app for creating, remixing, and posting AI-generated images and video. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. Short version: we collect what the app needs to work, we don't sell your data, and we don't run ads or third-party tracking.
1. What we collect
- Account: your email address, a securely hashed password, your username and display name, and an optional profile photo.
- Content you create: your prompts, photos you upload to enhance or animate, the images and video you generate, and your posts, captions, comments, likes, follows, and direct messages.
- Technical records: generation-job records (which model ran, when, and its cost — used to enforce daily budgets), and standard server logs (such as IP address and timestamps).
2. What we don't do
We do not sell your personal data. We do not show third-party ads. The app contains no third-party advertising or analytics trackers.
3. How we use your data
To run the service: generating your media, showing the feed, delivering comments, notifications, and messages; to enforce our content rules and per-account daily generation budgets; and to send account email such as signup confirmations and security notices.
4. Who processes it for us
We use a small set of service providers, each receiving only what it needs:
- Supabase — database, authentication, and storage hosting (United States).
- fal.ai — AI generation: your prompts and any input photos are sent to fal.ai to run the models that produce your media.
- Resend — sends account email (confirmations, security notices).
- Cloudflare — domain, content delivery, and media hosting.
5. Public and private
Your profile, posts, comments, likes, and follows are visible to other JAEKA users. Direct messages are visible only to their participants. Generations you don't post are not shared with anyone.
6. Retention and deletion
Your content stays until you delete it or delete your account. Deleting your account (profile menu → Delete account) is immediate and irreversible: it removes your profile, posts, comments, messages, and media. Minimal anonymized records (such as generation costs) may be retained for abuse prevention and accounting — they are no longer linked to you.
7. Age
JAEKA is for people 16 and older (or older where your country requires it).
8. Security
Data moves over encrypted connections (HTTPS). On your device, session credentials are stored encrypted using the operating system's keychain.
9. Your rights
You can access, correct, and delete your data in the app itself. Depending on where you live (for example under GDPR or CCPA), you may have additional statutory rights — contact us and we'll honor them.
10. Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and its effective date.
